Nighttime Routine For a Re-Energizing Sleep

We’ve talked about our morning routines but I would even argue that a nighttime routine is just as important, or even more. Our body does so much work repairing when we’re sleeping and it’s SO important. Haivng a bad nights sleep can ruin your mood, make you crave sugar/carbs and be super lazy. Every day isn’t going to be perfect, but don’t you want to try to be the best and healthiest you can be? The steps below are things I prioritize in my day to set my self up for success. If you don’t prioritize yourself, and you’re constantly giving and giving your energy and time to others it’s going to wear on you 10x harder.

Nighttime Routine

  1. Shower, I usually shower around 8pm. I drip some peppermint or lavender essential oils into the shower (it seriously makes it feel like a spa).
  2. Nighttime Skincare Routine:
  3. I try to make my dandelion tea every night but any night time or soothing tea that you like will do! Dandelion is cleansing for the liver. I sip this while we watch tv on the couch (don’t forget your blue light glasses!) and Cashew is sleeping. Also, Tip: dim the lights in your living room to start getting your body ready for bed. At this point I’ve also turned on the salt lamp in our bedroom. It gives off the prettiest light and also cleans the air.
  4. Once I brush my teeth and I’m in my bed I take a few drops of Cured Nutrition hemp oil or their ‘Zen’

Everyone’s routine is going to be different, we all need different things to ‘fill up our cup’ but, find the things you enjoy and stick to them!
