Last month I talked about the importance of gut health and what Kombucha can do to make yours better. This month, we’re a little bit closer to warmer weather and all of the summer things (yay)! I can’t wait to feel the warmth of the sun on my face and visit all the rooftop bars in NYC. Typically, when I go out and want an alcoholic beverage, I go for a margarita. I love tequila and it just so happens to be one of the cleanest and lowest sugar alcohols you can drink. Sometimes on the weekends Kevin and I make our own little happy hour here at home and since we always have kombucha in the fridge [thank you for making that possible Health-Ade!] it was easy to make a bomb margarita recipe with.

There are so many fun things coming up this month like cinco de mayo and memorial day that (typically) include some sort of beverage situation whether that’s alcoholic or not. So I wanted to make a fun margarita recipe for Cinco de Mayo! We already know how much I love chips and salsa, so I really wanted to make a drink that was going to compliment that. Yes, margarita is the obvious choice, but I made this one using Health-Ade’s Cherry Berry flavor and tuned it into a Cherry Berry Lime Margarita. It’s fresh, has very minimal ingredients and is super easy to make a pitcher of.

Salt or No Salt?

I NEED the salt, that might be my favorite part of a margarita recipe. It just goes so well with each sip. I also like when there’s a flavored salt rim like a chili lime or something. I think about it as part of the drink! For the Cherry Berry Lime Margarita’s I made, I kept it simple with regular salt since there’s already so much going on in the drink itself.

sharing my morning workout routine with you in par sharing my morning workout routine with you in partnership with @blueberries 👉🏼 it’s been looking a little different these days. Instead of lifting heavy weights in my living room - I’m lifting watering cans, bags of soil and mulch outside to nourish my garden! 🌿 so once I’m finished with making sure all of my plants are happy, I need some serious refuel. Blueberries are abundant in anthocyanins (plant compounds that give them their beautiful blue color) and are a good source of vitamin C, which means they have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties to help with muscle recovery. Not to mention, these little gems contain fiber which helps to keep me full!

Add cinnamon and cardamom to the Blueberry Milk recipe from https://blueberry.org/recipes/blueberry-milk/ to make it a Blueberry Cobbler Iced Coffee! Tell me, how do you refuel after a morning workout? 🫐 #ad
