Prickly Fresh Recipes

Prickly Fresh Recipes are clean, healthy-ish and slightly elevated. I thoroughly enjoy trying new flavors and experimenting with new spices. There are many Prickly Fresh recipes in the archive that combine flavors you may not have thought of before and I urge you to try them. All of the recipes are rather simple and usually 30 minutes or less.

Some of my favorite flavor profiles come from the Asian and Latin cultures. Although a lot of my recipes also include a ton from the Mediterranean side of the world. Here is a list of some of my favorites:

  • Loaded Hummus
  • Healthy Crunchwraps
  • 16 Minute French Fries with Lemon and Parmesan
  • Chocolate Covered Frozen Banana Pops

These recipes are made to be customized. If you don't like spicy, take out the sriracha. Don't love bananas? Freeze and chocolate cover some strawberries instead! That's the beauty of cooking. It is supposed to be fun. I want you to take these recipes and use them as a guideline.

There are so many other areas of our lives where we have to follow the rules and I don't want the kitchen to be one of those places for you. There are no rules. Anything goes. Experiment, mix things together, try new things.

I want you to adapt these recipes to you and your families likes and dislikes. Create your own traditions and concoctions with them. In the end, it's all just food. You never know, sometimes there are happy accidents, and you can create something delicious.
