Hot Spot in the Health District – La Estancia Argentina
Growing up in south Florida, I’ve become pretty picky with my Hispanic food. The newest location of La Estancia Argentina in the Health District is serving up some authentic cuisine. They have everything from Breakfast to dinner and starters to entrees. The atmosphere is sleek and modern with a family style marble table. The restaurant is fit for a quick lunch on the go or a date night with your significant other. Let’s get down to it!
We were able to try a few different of the empanadas, beef, four cheese and chicken to be exact. I was pretty impressed with these, they were full of flavor and baked to perfection. We also tasted the choripan, one of my personal favorites. If you don’t know what choripan is, think hotdog with better sausage and better bread. It is a grilled sausage on a baguette. Simple, familiar and so tasty.
One of the things Argentinians know how to do well is barbecue. The skirt steak and short ribs were cooked to a perfect medium rare with the grill flavor I love.
One thing I loved about La Estancia Argentina is that they have a bakery case. They have tons of authentic desserts that you can grab on the go. My recommendation? Get something that’s full of dulce de leche, like an alfajor. If you’re feeling generous, take a box to go for your co-workers or family.
La Estancia Argentina’s central location and quick service option, it makes for a perfect work lunch or grabbing dinner on a Saturday night. Which ever you choose to do, know that you are in good hands and in for a great meal!
