The Wynwood Yard goes all out this Cinco de Mayo
with a weekend blowout starting on Friday, May 5th. Escape into the weekend with this explosive and energy-packed Mexican-inspired celebration starting with happy hour in the yard at 4 p.m. on Friday and featuring live mariachi bands, mechanical bull rides, sombreros, tacos, piñatas and many more surprises.
On Friday, Radiate Apothecary will offer $5 piña caliente kombucha to sip on and The Lone Wolfe Food Truck will offer a variety of Mexicano eats including tacos and burritos with fillings like chicken in salsa roja and sweet plantains in a black-pepper-soy sauce. The Bar at The Yard will rev your engines with $10 margaritas and $5 12-oz canned Dos Equis from 4 to 8 p.m.
Event starts at 4 p.m. with free admission, followed by ticketed admission for 21+ after 9 p.m.–just $16 for general admission and $40 for VIP. VIP ticket holders will receive a stylin’ complimentary sombrero, mustache finger tattoos and liter beer boot. Buy tickets here! Continue to fuel your passion and groove for Mexico with Unlimited Devotion, the wildly popular Grateful Dead tribute band on Saturday, May 6 from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., as it celebrates its 5th anniversary honoring the legendary and quintessential American band with live performances worthy of every Deadhead’s devoutness. Wrap up the weekend on Sunday, May 7th (w p.m. til late) with The Yard’s chillest weekly event, Reggae Sundays. Kick back and relax the sun-filled day away with a live performance by Brothers United along with DJ sets by the reggae gurus at Kulcha Shok. Food for sale by the resident food concepts at The Yard and drink from The Bar at The Yard will keep you and your family vibing to the island mood. More info available here.
