A diner is something you think of when you think of comfort food. Today – it might not always be the greatest atmosphere but Metro Diner has revived this style of food with grace.
They have your classic favorites along with some lighter options like oats, yogurts and omelet’s.
Let’s get down to business – because it’s all about the food right?!
Frisco Breakfast Sandwich
grilled deli ham, scrambled eggs, and cheddar cheese on grilled sourdough.
This is a sandwich that is piled high! All of the ingredients taste fresh and the bread is perfectly toasted. The sourdough is perfect because it can hold up to all of the warm fillings and keep its crunch.
Hamburger Steak and Eggs
Two eggs any style, half pound Angus hamburger steak, toast, and your choice of hashbrowns or grits.
This is what my dad ordered – of course right? Such a manly meal. I don’t think there was a single crumb left on the plate…
I believe these were on special that day. It’s three crepes filled with fresh strawberries and whipped cream.
I’m always so torn between savory and sweet when it comes to brunch, so I order both! I get one entrée for myself and then something sweet for the table – sharing is caring people!
Overall it was a great experience – friendly and quick service (even on a busy Sunday brunch), our food was tasty and came out as we asked for it. The wait staff at Metro Diner knew the items on the menu very well and were able to make suggestions or explain other items further.
