The summer heat is officially here and most of the time, I choose to sit inside BUT I decided to go for brunch and sit outside on the patio with a group of friends. First things first – we ordered the Afromule – WARNING – this thing is for sharing! It is served in a massive copper mug. It’s filled with Afrohead rum, ginger beer, and lime juice – just to name a few ingredients.
It’s smooth, refreshing and makes for a great conversation starter! The waiters are all so gracious and will gladly ladle the mule into normal size copper mule mugs for each guest – for those that are germ cautious! Along with that much alcohol, I think you’ll need some brunch bites. Go for the three meat skillet – bacon, sausage, chorizo, buttermilk cheddar biscuit, two poached eggs, tarragon hollandaise, potato hash, in a cast iron skillet
OR the lobster eggs benedict – topped with two poached eggs, lobster hollandaise, Thomas’ English muffin and potato hash. Both are incredible in flavor and hearty enough to get you through that mule!
Other brunch items include banana nut French toast, egg frittata, short rib benedict and a smoked salmon pizzetta. You can’t really go wrong here – they also have the option of bottomless mimosas or sangria. However, I honestly think I would take the mule over the mimosa or sangria or a couple reasons. 1. The mule is massive and easy to share (which also means you can share the cost) and 2. It’s something different and switches things up from the traditional brunch drinks.
